Team Supercar Life has much to rejoice about as they closed the 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series with a bang. Scott Tucker pulled out a performance never before seen as he juggled both cars and managed to get the pair of BMW Riley Daytona Prototypes to finish sixth and eleventh. Rolex events are always full of excitement and action but seeing a driver pull of a stint where he took turns between both the BMW Riley’s was an exceptional feat and performance. With both cars making it to the finish it was a day to remember at Supercar Life.
By setting the fastest times in the qualifying sessions on Thursday and Friday it was quite evident that the team would offer a good show at the finale. And they did not disappoint as the team had a marvelous start by securing the fifth and thirteenth positions. Scott Tucker began the season with Christophe Bouchut in the No. 55 BMW Riley and later in the team’s second entry went on to join his competitor from the IndyCar series Ryan Hunter-Reay.
At one point the team was running first and second with Tucker switching behind wheels. This showcased the competitive spirit of the team and the efforts that they put in. After leading for 12 laps Christophe Bouchut and the No. 55 came in at number six. This further highlighted the amazing talent that he had displayed all season long. While it was the No. 95’s first on-track performance, with Ryan Hunter-Reay behind the wheel it managed an impressive finish at number 11.
The performance and professionalism that Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut displayed on the tracks as well as off them is what motivated Ryan Hunter-Reay be a part of their team efforts. The pair of Scott Tucker and Christophe Bouchut always finished within the top 10 in any of the Rolex Sports Car Series events. This made the team a model of consistency. Consistency is something that Rolex has stood for as well. With timepieces that not only guarantee long-term high performance but also look exceptionally brilliant Rolex is a name that has made its mark on the luxury circuit of the world.

Even he soaring temperatures of 95-degrees plus could not stop Scott Tucker from jumping four spots in the first 10 laps in his No.55 BMW Riley. And at one point he happened to take over Buddy rice who is the former Indianapolis 500 winner, after he had shadowed him for nearly five laps. Scott Tucker, throughout, kept posting lap times faster than even any of the leaders. His fastest lap time for the race was 1:13.885, which became the fourth fastest lap in the field. However, an ill-timed caution flag and a difficult call in the pits kept Supercar Life Racing from tasting victory. The team otherwise was poised for the season’s first victory for itself.
Less than two weeks ago Scott Tucker won his first national championship as a driver in his Supercar Life F430 Challenge Ferrari. After winning the Sports Car Club of America’s National Championship Runoffs he returned to Miami. Scott Tucker will next be flying over to Valencia, Spain in November in order to strengthen his championship in the Ferrari Challenge Series. He already has a 75-point lead in the series point standings.
