However this time around Alex Gurney on his Pontiac Riley blazed past the team of Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas in their Lexus Riley and claimed the top spot. The third position was secured by the team of John Pew and Michael Valiante driving their Ford Riley.

At the last race that was held on the 3rd of July at the New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey racers faced stiff competition and fought a hard battle to victory. The racing event known as the Brumos Porsche 250 that was held here was won by the SunTrust Team. The skilled racer Max Angelelli edged past the prolific racer Alex Gurney who lost out for the second consecutive time in the Brumos Porsche 250. Winning the event by .20 of a second Max Angelelli clinched the top honor of the Brumos Porsche 250 on Sunday to qualify for the fifth closest win in the history of the race. According to the present race standings team Telemex/Chip Ganassi Racing Lexus Riley is leading with 199 points, closely followed by the SunTrust team with 198 points and finally team Gainsco in the third place with 196 points.

RolexThe eight race of the remarkable Rolex Grand-Am Sports Car Series is the Porsche 250 that is all set to be held on the 19th of July, 2009. The seventh edition of the annual Porsche 250 will be co-presented by Bradley Arant along with Rolex and is to be held at the Barber Motorsports Park in Leeds in Alabama. This 250 mile race is bound to be a thrilling event as all teams that are competing in this event are a few points behind each other.
