Jon Bon Jovi And Rolex Milgauss, The Magnetically Rocking Personalities

Wearing a Rolex can add magnetism to anyone’s personality; however, getting a Rolex watch with antimagnetic properties might seem pretty ironic but can be highly desirable too. The Rolex Milgauss is specifically designed to resist a magnetic flux density of 1,000 gauss that delivers precise timing even in highly magnetic environments. A magnetic personality in the news these days is Jon Bon Jovi for the premier of a documentary film based on his 2008 Lost Highway tours and marking his band Bon Jovi’s 25th year called “When We Were Beautiful”. Jon Bon Jovi is a legend when it comes to rock artists and has featured on the cover of the Rolling Stones magazine several times. Rolex too has made it to the Business Week magazine’s annual list of the 100 most valuable global brands list for the excellence it has managed to deliver over the years. The Rolex Milgauss only re-enforces the fact that Rolex is not just about delivering impressive timepieces but is also about innovation that makes its watches deliver the same excellence under the toughest and most unusual conditions.
Bunking school and opting for music activities definitely paid off for this rock star. Jon Bon Jovi released his first album for his rock band Bon Jovi in 1984 which went gold in the US with sales over 500,000.And the rest as they say is history. In 2007 the band Bon Jovi released their last studio album Lost Highway that debuted at #1 on the Billboard charts. Jon Bon Jovi’s solo works include Blaze of Glory that hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned him an Academy Award nomination for best song and he won the Golden Globe for the same. His second solo album was Destination Anywhere for which he earned a BRIT Award and the MTV Europe Music Award. Jon Bon Jovi has strong family ties as he is still married to his childhood sweetheart Dorothea Rose Hurley with whom he has four children. He has also indulged in charity by working on behalf of the Special Olympics, the American Red Cross, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Project Home, The Philadelphia Soul Charitable Foundation and other groups. During an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005 the band donated $1 million to the Angel Network foundation.

Achievement and saluting human excellence has been something Rolex has been involved with as well by sponsoring a host of sporting events. The Rolex Milgauss is designed specifically for those who work in power plants and research labs where electromagnetic fields can create havoc for the functioning of a watch. The Rolex Milgauss is an impressive 40mm. It uses 904L steel that is reserved for the chemical industry so that maximum resistance against corrosion can be offered. The 904L steel alloy is extremely tough and highly polishable. It has an Easylink incorporated into the bracelet that makes for comfortable adjustment of up to 5mm in case of temporary expansion of the wrist due to an increase in temperature, altitude or physical activity. The certification by COSC ensures that the timepiece has been tested rigorously under extreme conditions for precise performance. And as the Rolex Milgauss deals with magnetic fields and promises to still function precisely, it does not guarantee any person’s proper functioning around magnetic people like Jon Bon Jovi.

Jensen Ackles and
Ackles’s next venture was in putting in a guest appearance in the James Cameron directed television series Dark Angel on Fox in 2001. Ackles took a huge risk going against the image that he had built for himself playing the hero and acted as a serial killer Ben a.k.a X5-493. Ben was killed in the show but by then Ackles had gained such a reputation for himself that Ackles was called back to the show to play Ben’s sane clone Alex/X5-494.

Will started his rapping career with friends DJ Jazzy Jeff and Ready Rock C and the trio won the first ever Grammy in the Rap category in 1988. NBC hired Will Smith to play the notorious Fresh prince of Bel Air in a series of the same name and from then on Will never looked back. His career graph was set with a role alongside Martin Lawrence in Bad Boys. Who doesn’t remember the brash, young Capt. Steve from Independence Day and the other man in black in Men In Black who made the aliens look like deflated rubber? Smith became Hollywood’s most bankable star from here landing him a role in Enemy of the State and he went on to do the sequels to Bad Boys, MIB while playing the charming Alex Hitch in Hitch.
Rolex’s name is always bracketed with style and the 40 mm black dial of the premium Milgauss is a perfect embodiment of flair. Its steel body and polished bezel is what goes to charm its way into your heart. The time tags are highlighted in fluorescent for you to figure things out in the dark. The clasp with Easy link features an Oyster and the movement of the clock is self wound. The crystal is sapphire and the Rolex is water resistant with a limit of 100 metres/330 feet. The Rolex Milgauss chronometer redefines style and charisma and similar qualities are the signature of Will Smith as well.
As the opening weekend of Wolverine: Origins, starring Hugh Jackman, was bringing in over $78 million dollars in box office, we kept asking ourselves an intriguing question: What kind of
After the Weapon X program erased his memories, Wolverine wandered about until was approached by Professor Charles Xavier, the founder of the X-Men. Wolverine chose to leave the Weapon X program and join the X-Men. Wolverine remained with the X-Men for quite some time, becoming their field commander, where he first encountered the mutant Magneto and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. During a battle with Magneto, Wolverine slashed Magneto with his claws. Magneto retaliated, using his powers of the magnetic field to tear the adamantium out of Wolverine’s skeleton, causing extensive injuries. These extreme injuries shorted out Wolverine’s healing factor for a time, and Logan discovered that the claws that he believed a result of the Weapon X project were in fact part of his actual bone structure due to his mutation. These bone claws became Wolverine’s main weapons until his skeleton later became grafted to adamantium again. If Wolverine had been wearing a Rolex Milgauss on his wrist, he might have known that Magneto’s revenge was heading his way. Wolverine is a mutant who possesses the ability to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human. Wolverine’s natural healing affords him virtual immunity to poisons and most diseases, and he possesses superhumanly acute senses. Like an animal on the hunt, Wolverine is able to recognize people and objects by scent, even if that person or object is hidden. Wolverine’s skeleton includes six retractable one-foot long bone claws, three in each arm, that are housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms. At will, Wolverine releases these slightly curved claws through his skin beneath the knuckles on each hand. The skin between the knuckles tears and bleeds, but the blood loss is quickly halted by his healing factor.
Wolverine’s entire skeletal structure, including his claws, was artificially bonded to the nearly indestructible metal Adamantium in the Weapon X program to develop government assassins. As a result, Wolverine’s bones are virtually unbreakable, and his claws are capable of cutting through almost anything known to man. Due to his healing factor, the presence of Adamantium in his body does not interfere with his bones’ normal function of generating blood corpuscles. Given the magnetic Adamantium in his body and his ongoing battles with Magneto, the antimagnetic Rolex Milgauss is the perfect watch for Wolverine. At the Basel 2007, the renowned watch fair, Rolex announced the return of the Milgauss. The new Rolex Milgauss comes in a 40mm bezel, with a COSC certified 3131 automatic winding movement. The new Milgauss version with a black face, white and orange elements and green sapphire glass (the 116400 GV) caught the attention of watch buyers and in short order was being sold in the gray market at three times its suggested retail price. It has a certain style and flair, particularly the coolness of the green sapphire glass, that fit right into Wolverine’s natural style. The word Milgauss is derived from the French word mille, which means one thousand, and gauss, the unit of the magnetic field. If you expose a mechanical watch to a strong magnetic field, some of the parts in the movement become magnetized. This will cause the mechanism to run quite fast and require demagnetization. The Rolex Milgauss is able to resist a magnetic field of 1,000 Gauss, thus helping Wolverine resist the powers of Magneto. Without question, the perfect Rolex watch for a mutant superhero like Wolverine is the Rolex Milgauss with the green sapphire glass.
