Sean Penn And Rolex Datejust Turn-O-graph; Truly Versatile

Versatility is a quality that many may share, but versatility suits only those who have felt the need to explore every trait that makes him/her versatile. Rolex has always excelled in putting itself across as a brand that has not key holed itself into sticking to a particular way of presenting a watch. In fact the watch brand caters to varied interests of its clients, always trying to build a smooth bridge over polarities. Sean Penn is an award winning actor of renown not because he chose to do only certain type of cinema with his favorite directors. The actor roughed it out, learning the nuances of the technique of filmmaking, experimenting with roles as varied as they were served to him and today he can truly claim the versatile tag for himself.
The son of one time director Leo Penn, Sean started with playing an extra on his father’s film Little House on the Prairie. He got to play a meatier role in Taps alongside Tom Cruise and was cast as Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High, a role that made him immensely popular. He was next cast as Mick O’Brien in Bad Boys, a role that catapulted Sean’s career into a different direction.
In 1986, Sean starred in At Close Range with Christopher Walken and had his then wife Madonna pen and voice a song for the film. However it was the classic role as a convict in Dead Man Walking that won Sean his first Academy Award nomination. His second nomination came for Sweet and Lowdown.
Sean portrayed the character of an autistic father to a little girl with such sensitivity that the Academy nominated him for I am Sam. The much elusive Oscar finally caught up with him for his role as an overwrought father in Mystic River. Sean went on to play a mentally disturbed man bent on killing the president in The Assassination of Richard Nixon he won a nomination for this role as well. His fifth and latest nomination that also translated into a win was for the character of Harvey Milk in Milk. He was also nominated for an Independent Spirit Awards for the film.

The versatile actor has also made a foray into direction, making films like The Crossing Guard, The Pledge and Into The Wild. Penn’s next two films The Tree of Life and Fair Game are slated to release in 2010.
Sean also contributed a political column in the San Francisco Chronicle making a visit to Iran for the same. Penn is also the recipient of the Christopher Reeve First Amendment Award.
Rolex Datejust Turn-o-graph is a watch with as many functions as the diverse facets it displays. The Rolex watch’s claim to fame is that it is not just any other heavy duty watch but has a responsibility towards its wearer to combine both utility and comfort. The Turn-o-graph has a fluted rotatable bezel which is called the turn-o-graph and from which the watch borrows its name. The steel and yellow gold watch’s functionality also comes from this bezel that can be rotated in both clockwise and anti-clockwise directions to measure periods of elapsed time. The 36 mm, slate dial of the watch matches perfectly with the steel and yellow gold finish and lends a degree of distinction to the Datejust Turn-o-graph. The certified chronometer is also self wound and its bracelet has a Jubilee featuring Crownclasp. Datejust Turn-o-graph is waterproof to 100 meters and is crystallized in sapphire. The Datejust Turn-o-graph and Sean Penn are personalities that have lent a new name to multiplicity by their versatility and commitment to always deliver the best.
