James Denton And The Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph: Turning Heads And Attention To The Best Things In Life

James Denton

Philanthropy and sports are two genres where Rolex has created a niche for itself. Rolex is best known the world over for its luxury watches that are committed towards combining functionality with comfort. However, by its involvement in philanthropic initiatives and support of major sports events, Rolex is now a well-recognized associate in both fields. A television heartthrob who has been actively involved in philanthropy and sports is the Desperate Housewives star James Denton. His band, the Band From TV, is dedicated towards supporting charities worldwide. He is not only an avid baseball fan but is also the co-owner of the Golden Baseball League Team, The Fullerton Flyers. A watch from the Rolex collection which can be an ideal counterpart of sports enthusiasts is the Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph which has a rotatable bezel for the measurement of time spans.

James Denton has been a lifelong fan of baseball and joined the Orange County investment group that presented him the opportunity to be co-owner of the Fullerton Flyers, which is now known as the Orange County Flyers, in 2007. The baseball enthusiast was not content with simply being the co-owner of the team and took an initiative by attending try-outs, home games and also played selector to some of the players. James Denton got world-wide recognition for his role as Mike Delfino in the series Desperate Housewives. Soon after he joined the series in 2004, the ratings went up and shortly after he was included in People Magazine’s 2004 “Sexiest Men Alive” issue. James Denton’s band is taking up most of his time these days. The charity Band From TV has already scheduled a performance at the Fallsview Casino Resort located in Niagra Falls, Canada in March 2010. All the proceeds of the band are donated towards  charities like the Epilepsy Foundation and Save The Children. He is also actively involved with charities like Actors and Others for Animals, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Cure Autism Now, Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Fragile X.

The Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph has been specially designed to measure periods of elapsed time that makes it an ideal symbol for any sports enthusiast. The bezel can be rotated in both directions to facilitate the measurement of periods of elapsed time. The Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph is a part of the Oyster collection from Rolex, which means the watch is water-resistant down to depths of 100m. The Rolex Datejust Turn-O-Graph is available in variations of steel and 18 ct yellow, white and Everose gold, of which the steel and white gold combination is the most impressive. The chronometer is officially certified by the COSC. The gold exudes purity as it has been processed at Rolex’s own unique foundry. The timepiece comes in a comfortable size of 36mm and has a white dial. The inclusion of such features is what gives Rolex timepieces the edge and reputation they have gathered since 1905.

The dial is set with diamonds in a mesmerizing pattern with pink overtones. The hour and second hands too are pink in color. The strap is made of stingray leather and makes for an attractive and cozy fit. The strap is also adorned with brilliants with a hint of pink. The bezel has baguette diamonds set on it.
