Mischa Barton and Rolex Perpetual Datejust; Can’t Take Your Eyes Off Them

Mischa Barton

We all like a bit of undivided attention at times but this lady and the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust seem to capture the sort of attention that has never known division.

The Rolex watch is breathtakingly dazzling and it can very well serve as an exquisite piece of artwork. Mischa’s looks, her oomph and her gait are mesmeric and her only competition in this field is the Rolex Perpetual Datejust.

Born in the UK, Mischa moved to the US when she was five and became a naturalized citizen of the country in 2006. Barton was always interested in acting and took a short summer course named Acting Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art the same year.

Barton’s initial foray into acting was on stage, she played the lead in James Lapine’s Twelve Dreams. Her debut on the big screen was with Lawn Dogs and she also made special appearances in The Sixth Sense, Notting Hill, St. Trinians and Closing the Ring.

Barton is more popular for her appearances on television and was cast as the young Lily Montgomery in the soap opera All My Children. She was also seen in the modern remake of Bonnie and Clyde.

However what catapulted her to instant stardom was her role as Marissa Cooper in the hit television series The O.C. She essayed the role of a troubled teenager with finesse literally living the character she played and after she left the show in the third season finale the O.C’s ratings dropped dramatically. Barton went on to play the guest host in the British comedy variety show The Friday Night Project.

Mischa’s film career was also taking off mean while, she starred in the film The Oh in Ohio and Closing the Ring. In 2007 Mischa was selected to act in an international film produced by the Russian band t.A.T.u called You and I. Mischa has had a variety of international projects in her kitty. She was cast alongside Martin Sheen in the film Bhopal: Prayer for Rain. She got a great opportunity to act with Bruce Willis in Assassination of a High School President. Mischa will also be seen in this year’s Walled In and Don’t Fade Away. Barton will also be starring in A Beautiful Life a new series on The CW. Barton played the lead in the psychological thriller Homecoming that premiered this year.

The special magnifying Cyclops lens and the date display are features that are unique to this watch and hence a favorite with those who enjoy exclusivity. The watch is self wound and waterproof to 100 metres and the dial is a gorgeous white mother of pearl surrounded with diamonds. The bracelet is metallic and has a gold folding clasp in striking contrast to the bezel that is embedded in a string of diamonds. The stunning chronometer borrows Mischa’s naughty elegance with effusive charm.

Nothing Comes Between Calvin Klein and His Rolex Watch

Calvin KleinCalvin Klein, the preeminent American fashion designer, chooses to wear a stainless steel Rolex Datejust when he hits the streets of New York or hangs out at fashionable parties. Although Calvin Klein Inc. makes a fashionable and expensive line of luxury watches, Calvin Klein would rather wear a Rolex watch than his own brand. Like Paris Hilton, Calvin Klein enjoys rolling with his Rolex. Arguably, the greatest American fashion designer of the late twentieth century, Calvin Klein has a history of breaking barriers and setting trends. However, when it comes to his wristwatch, Calvin Klein knows that the highest quality and the best performance can only be delivered by a Rolex watch. Born November 19, 1942, in the Bronx, New York, Calvin Richard Klein was raised in a middle-class family of Hungarian-Jewish immigrants. Following his graduation from the High School of Art and Design, Klein studied apparel design at Manhattan’s preeminent Fashion Institute of Technology. Inspired by the fresh and unpretentious style of New York’s urban youth, Klein set out to launch his own clothing company in 1968. He commissioned a local seamstress to make a handful of coats and dresses. Within weeks, the chic department store Bonwit Teller purchased $50,000 worth of merchandise and displayed the samples in eight of their coveted windows. Shortly after his auspicious debut, Klein created a line of designer sportswear. Throughout the fashion industry, word spread quickly about Klein and his sleek designs, which were now featured regularly in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. In the early 1970s, he introduced his trademark jeans, which he elevated to designer status by cutting them tight and branding his name on the back pocket. And when the jeans were advertised by a then 15-year-old Brooke Shields with the famous lines “nothing comes between me and my Calvins” and “I’ve got seven Calvins in my closet, and if they could talk, I’d be ruined”, the brand was taken to new heights. This series of provocative advertisements created a designer jean frenzy among consumers, who were purchasing over 40,000 pairs a week.

Calvin KleinBy 1974, Calvin Klein clothes were being sold in over 12,000 stores worldwide, producing more than $600 million in retail sales. In 1982, by adding style and his logo to boxers and briefs, Klein conquered the underwear market. In the late 1980s, Klein entered the fragrance market with the launch of Obsession and Eternity. However, the1980s also brought high employee turnover and disappointing sales, which led to the decision to put the company up for sale. Facing bankruptcy in 1992, Calvin Klein managed to turn the company around and increase profits with the help of a successful underwear, fragrance, and sportswear line. Calvin Klein was honored in 1993 by being named “America’s Best Designer” for his all-American, minimalist style. Throughout his career, Klein has come under criticism for his ubiquitous and controversial ad campaigns, most notably those that featured Kate Moss, Mark Wahlberg, and Brook Shields. Widely considered the most prominent American fashion designer, Klein was first awarded the Council of Fashion Designers of America Award for outstanding design in both women’s wear and men’s wear in 1982, becoming the first designer ever to receive both honors in the same year. A member of numerous committees, such as the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Klein is the designer of choice for celebrities such as Julia Roberts, Gwyneth Paltrow and Helen Hunt, and has influenced designers such as Miuccia Prada and Donna Karan. Even with all of this fashion power and designer influence, Calvin Klein avoids wearing the luxury watches made by his own company. Instead, he chooses to stick with the precision and quality of a classic stainless steel Rolex Datejust. In the end, nothing comes between Calvin Klein and his Rolex watch.
