The LPGA Tour Championship has been keenly followed by all those who were awaiting the announcement of the Rolex Player of the Year Award. She closed the tournament with a total score of 13-under par and added a whopping $225,000 into her kitty with the win. The win made the Swedish golfer jump 6 spots on the Rolex Rankings. She has now cracked into the top ten on the Rolex Rankings with a total point average of 7.03. The year of 2009 has been quite eventful for the 22 year old as she won the LPGA Championship and now has also bagged the LPGA Tour Championship. Anna Nordqvist has played in a total of 22 events this year and has carried forward her successful amateur career from Europe to the United States.
