The Fédération Équestre Internationale also known as the International Federation for Equestrian Sports is an international body that manages world class equestrian sports around the world. As a part of its global vision of promoting outstanding talent Rolex collaborates with the Fédération Équestre Internationale to hold equestrian events that have riders competing in ten different events that include dressage, combined driving, endurance riding, eventing, horseball, para-equestrianism, reining, show jumping, tent pegging, and vaulting.
Operating from its headquarters in Switzerland the Fédération Équestre Internationale has been holding the FEI World Equestrian Games every four years. This world class competitive riding competition began in the 1990s and from then on has transformed into a formidable competitive event drawing skilled riders from across the globe. Formed back in 1921 the Fédération Équestre Internationale now has 134 national equestrian organizations that are associated with it. Apart from creating and holding competitive riding events, the Fédération Équestre Internationale also develops the code of conduct and safeguards the horses from exploitation or abuse. Over the years the FEI World Equestrian Games has been a platform fro propelling the ambitions of skilled riders and has been a witness to numerous ground breaking developments in the world of equestrian events.
The FEI World Equestrian Games for 2009 were held amidst the bright lights of Las Vegas in Nevada, a city that gave the world a new definition of illuminative ornamentation. The competitive event turned out to be hugely successful and attracted throngs of spectators. A number of continental leagues are held all over the world in order to qualify for the FEI World Equestrian Games that have become synonymous with passion, determination, skill, devotion and pride. The culmination of the league championships into this world class event is unwaveringly supported by Rolex and forms a stage for the overall development of the sport. The 2009 edition of the FEI World Equestrian Games saw a tremendous display of riding skill and ability by the numerous riders from every part of the globe. Battling hard to outperform the other competitors the riders put on a brilliant display of skill and managed to execute the toughest challenges with great self-belief and élan. Sven Holmberg the vice president of the Fédération Équestre Internationale believes that holding the world cup games in Europe too often is not a great idea and is in favor of organizing the event in other parts of the globe.
Robert Ridland the Jumping Manager for the Las Vegas World Cup Show put forward a strong bid in order to bring back the FEI World Cup 2014 to the scintillating city of Las Vegas in United States. Rolex the prime supporter of this event will be back to sponsor the FEI World Games in 2014.
