Rolex Cosmograph Daytona And Jeremy Wariner; Fighting The Wind

Jeremy Wariner The best runners they say do not run against competitors but run against themselves and in this endeavor to always outdo one’s and other’s expectation of oneself Jeremy Wariner has most deservingly claimed the title of one of the world’s top sprinters. Rolex watches are synonymous with Jeremy’s practice of timing every step he takes and every move he makes. Running against time, breaking records and setting new ones are synonymous with the Rolex name as much as they are with Jeremy Wariner.

The American track athlete Wariner specializes in the 400 meters category. Jeremy got involved with the sport from school and under Mike Nelson’s coaching Jeremy won the 2002 Texas 5A state sprint champion at both 200 and 400m and set a school record. On entering college Jeremy went on to train under Clyde Hart who had previously been Michael Johnson’s coach.

Wariner’s first world stage appearance was at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Jeremy won two personal bests of the Olympic Gold medal claiming victory in 400m and the US Relay team

After turning pro in 2004, the next year Wariner won the 400 m at the USATF Championships. At the Golden Gala Meet in 2006 Wariner set a personal record of 43.62 seconds and also won his sixth Golden League event in the same season. The next year Wariner became the best sprinter in the world by defeating his rivals with a timing of 43.45 seconds in the 400m race.

Jeremy changed his coach to Michael Ford in early 2008, and went on to get second position in last year’s USATF Championship. Jeremy’s close, second victory earned him a berth in the Olympics 400metres and 4*400 m relay team. Wariner qualified for the 2008 Olympics Final with a time of 44.12 seconds and finished second behind LaShawn Merritt.

Cosmograph Daytona The sprinter’s personal bests have been delivered in a 200 meter race in Carson, California in May 2006 at a speed of 20.19 seconds. At Osaka Japan, Wariner set a record of 43.45in the 400 meter race on August 31, 2007.Wariner won two gold medals at the 2005 World Championships and remained indomitable at the 2006 AF Golden League where he also won a $250, 000 jackpot. Wariner also remained the champion at both individual and relay races in the game at the 2007 Osaka World Championships. He also went on to win the Best Male Track Athlete ESPY award of 2007. Jeremy won the silver in last years Olympics in Beijing but it is his strength and determination that will eventually contribute to the master getting back on his tracks.

Rolex’s offering of the Cosmograph Daytona has left its client in a dilemma as to which of the watches they want to select from the very wide range of the same series available. This particular Cosmograph Daytona is the perfect accomplice in sprinting and running trainings and competitions. The Daytona is ideal for measuring elapsed time and also calculates average speed. With its sweep second hand, minute and hour totalizers it is the true sportsman’s watch. The Daytona also has a released tachometer bezel that is carved and standardized for special tick offs. The striking white dial adds to the sophisticated impact of the watch contributing highly to the professional image the watch very successfully portrays. The bracelet of the Cosmograph Daytona features an Oyster clasp with Easylink, and the self wound watch that is waterproof to 100 metres is crystallized in sapphire. Jeremy Wariner and the Rolex Cosmograph fight the wind with an unparalleled vengeance.

Clint Black And Rolex Explorer II; Musically Gifted

Clint Black

Watches could have a lot to do with music if they are tuned to accuracy and provide the correct time reading when and where the wearer wants it to. In an age when watches are no longer about just displaying time the Rolex watches are a peerless enterprise in the industry of watch making. The Rolex watch is not just an accessory but an experience of a lifetime for those who know what the value of the money that they have spent on the watch is. A Rolex watch is as gifted as the talented country music singer Clint Black because like Black carries the fragrance of his native country in his veins and translates that into soulful music, the Rolex too carries years of customer likes and dislikes in its minute markers and customizes each watch to serve to its clients exactly what they would like their watch to have.

Dustin Hoffman And Rolex GMT Master II; Timeless Heroes

Dustin Hoffman

Heroes like time are forever and if it is Dustin Hoffman that we are talking about here then such heroes illuminate our lives only once in a lifetime’s experience. Rolex was launched to cater to people who respected time for not only its value but the fact that once it passed it never comes back. Rolex made sure that the good times of your life were captured in timeless seconds and Hoffman’s performances are a few of those beautiful moments that you would always want to last forever.

Hoffman began acting at the Pasadena Playhouse and soon shifted to New York, where he started doing odd jobs all the while he was doing small roles on television. In 1960 Hoffman joined the renowned Actor’s Studio making a successful start in the off Broadway production of Eh? in 1966.

Hoffman continued teaching at night schools while directing community theater productions. Dustin landed his much famous role of Benjamin Braddock in the Graduate in ’66. He received an Academy Award nomination for the role. The same year a role in a Broadway production won him the Drama Desk Award. Soon after his role in the film Midnight Cowboy won him his second Academy nomination. Lenny filmed in 1974 was his claim to a third Oscar nomination.

Two brilliant stars Hoffman and Meryl Streep were cast to deliver performances that catapulted their fame in Kramer vs. Kramer. The much elusive Academy award finally caught up with him for this role. Hoffman’s fifth nomination came for Tootsie where he dressed as a woman to land a role. Hoffman received a Tony Award for playing the lead in Miller’s Death of a Salesman in 1985, a role that also won him a Golden Globe too.

Hoffman fans best remember him for his brilliant act as an autistic man in Rain Man alongside Tom Cruise. Predictably, he won his second Oscar for the role. In the 90’s Hoffman played Captain Hook in Spielberg’s Hook earning a Golden Globe nomination. It was later in the decade that Hoffman got seriously involved in the filming of American Buffalo, winning another Oscar nomination for Wag The Dog the same time. Dustin got a chance to act alongside Gene Hackman in Runaway Jury and a favorite actor of his Andy Garcia in The Lost City. Hoffman also did the voice over for Kung Fu Panda sharing a great rapport with co-star Jack Black. Hoffman was also nominated for a Golden Globe award for playing Harvey Shine in Last Chance Harvey.

Rolex GMT-Master II

The actor is a political liberal and has long supported the Democratic Party. Married to attorney Lisa Gottsegen and father to children and grandchildren who have had their bar mitzvahs, the actor has decided to be a practicing Jew now that he is getting older.

The GMT Master is a hero amongst Rolex watches because besides offering a timeless experience to its wearer the watch also comes with an independent 12 hour hand so you can keep a tab on a second time zone. The watch is extremely accessible to the user as it is self wound and is also waterproof to 100 meters. However, it is the design of the watch that arrests your attention the most. It is a brilliant combination of steel and yellow gold and the rotatable bezel in black offsets the black dial against it very effectively. The watch thrusts a heroic ability into its wearer for him to always want to make things good around him. The chunky 40 mm dial commands respect and the GMT Master knows that like Dustin Hoffman a stellar performance goes a long way in gaining that respect from people.

Susan also acted in The Cradle Will Rock, Banger Sisters, Shall We Dance with co-star Richard Gere. She also starred in Romance & Cigarettes and Elizabethtown in 2005.

Susan Sarandon

Sarandon is scheduled to star in this year’s Peacock and Leaves of Grass. Susan has also been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

At the first sight you may want to pass off the Rolex Lady Pearlmaster as one of the many exquisite jewels that the Rolex house has to offer. But the watch makes you sit up and take notice the moment you wrap it around your wrist. A technical work of art the Pearlmaster in diamonds and yellow gold has a stunning bezel set with brilliants. The Rolex watch is a collection of lush materials that not only promise to bedazzle the onlookers but stun them with the functionality it has to offer. The Pearlmaster exudes the most perfect harmony that any watch has to offer. The certified chronometer has a date calendar with a Cyclops magnifier that enables you to view the time even on the foggiest of days. The 29 mm dial is in white mother of pearl and set with brilliant diamonds. The bracelet too is a pearlmaster and set with finely cut diamonds. A Call For Celebration: Rolex Completes 101 Years Of Excellence.

RolexOnce upon a time, on this very 2nd day of July a man who had set out with a dream to make a wristwatch which would be more than an instrument of utility and to transform it into an elegant piece of precision got his dream registered. The dream was none other than the watch brand Rolex and the man was its famous creator Hans Wilsdorf. On July 2nd, 1908 Hans registered the mark Rolex under the number 24001 and a hundred and one years after, today, Rolex is a brand name that instantly connects with brilliance and panache. In 1915 Wilsdorf had culled enough enthusiasm from the wearers of his watch to register Rolex as the company name.

A lot of planning and strategizing had gone into making the watch’s exactness in marking time, reach the level of perfection that it can proudly claim for itself today. Rolex by the first half of the 20th century had become such an embodiment of acme that in 1940 of the 21,561 certificates of precision that were issued by the four offices to deliver a rate control certificate for wrist chronometers, Rolex bagged for itself 19,155 of them.

Rolex has many firsts to its credit. It was the first watch company to have invented the waterproof watches. Rolex understood the need to keep oneself abreast of time like no other and came up with the idea of showing the date on the dial. Rolex was also the first watch company that showed two time zones on the same watch. That a watch could be a perfect chronometer was not known before Rolex bagged the record for the most certified chronometer movements in the wristwatch category. The Rolex brand also associated itself with developing the original quartz watch movements.

Hans WilsdorfOf the many Rolex inventions the “Perpetual” was Rolex’s invention of the first self-winding watch which used a rotor and was mathematically designed to mark time accurately. The watch was incorporated with listings for the day and date of the week and Rolex very aptly renamed it as the Day Date. To make their watches water resistant Rolex came up with a unique technology, one that allowed the wearer to sport his Rolex at the beach or at the pool. The watch resistant case got its name from the sea and was called the Oyster. Rolex has a series of watches that are called the Oyster Perpetual editions.

Wilsdorf was quick to understand that just creating a trademark wasn’t enough. It was important that the watch also got a universal clientele and people around the world could avail of the Rolex experience. As a marketing strategy Rolex prioritized the creation of a very personalized design as a result of which the watches were contemporary of the times in which they were created.

The Rolex credo of Quality, Perfection and Consistency survived generations making Rolex an heirloom that is passed from father to son. The Rolex watch is extremely reliable and its durability makes it a name to reckon with. The Rolex SA has three watch lines, the Oyster Perpetual, the Professional and the Cellini. Each line has its share of loyalists and the tacit norm is that once you own a Rolex it’s not only difficult but impossible to change your brand.

Rolex takes itself beyond watches and allies with games. Rolex is the Official time sponsor of the Wimbledon and the US Open and also extends its support to golf and water sports. In 2007, Rolex got its headquarters in New York and since then its fame in the American market has soared.
