Catherine Keener And Rolex Lady Datejust Pearlmaster; Guileless Talent

Catherine KeenerTalent as they say is innate and very few are privileged to realize its full potential in a lifetime. There are talents and there are talents, and a very small percentage of the talented come across as guileless. The Rolex Lady Datejust Pearlmaster is just such a watch. The fine tuning of the watch matches actress Catherine Kenner’s naturalness and beats it because the Rolex has mastered the art of keeping time over a century. Both talents wear frankness on their sleeves and it shows in their performances and the way they deal with people, always heart to heart.

Coming of mixed Lebanese and Irish descent, Catherine Keener was born in Miami. After graduating from college Keener relocated to New York and interned as assistant to casting agent Gail Eisenstadt. Shifting to Los Angeles with her boss, Keener finally started paying a little more attention to acting landing for herself multiple small time roles.

Keener got her first break in About Last Night in 1986. While filming Survival Quest in 1989 Catherine met her future husband Dermot Mulroney. The actress was trying out the television medium when she was cast alongside a then relatively unknown Brad Pitt in Johnny Suede. The actress made her presence felt and earned her first Independent Spirit Award nomination for best actress. Keener acted in Walking and Talking in 1995 a cult comedy film and her raw talent as an actress brought her much critical acclaim. Her role got her, her second nomination for an Independent Spirit Award.

In 1999, Keener was cast as Maxine Lund in Being John Malkovich, a role that was brilliantly essayed and got her an Academy award nomination for Best Supporting actress in 2000. She was also nominated for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actor’s Guild Award for the same film that year.

Two years later Catherine was cast opposite Edward Norton in a series of films that have since become favorites with a niche audience. Two of these films were Full Frontal and S1mOne.

Rolex Lady Datejust Pearlmaster Catherine shot into the limelight with the political thriller The Interpreter, The Ballad of Jack and Rose. She was cast with Daniel Day Lewis an experience of a lifetime as Catherine later called it. In 2005, Keener was cast as Harper Lee in Capote, based on journalist Truman Capote’s life. Keener’s subdued and understated performance not only brought her immense recognition in the industry but also set out to silence those critics who had been censuring her selection of roles. Catherine swept the Academy, BAFTA, Critics Choice and Screen Actor’s Guild Award nominations that year.

Director Nicole Holofcener exploited Catherine’s talent to the maximum in the films, Lovely and Amazing and Friends with Money.

Keener starred opposite Sean Penn in his critically acclaimed film Into the Wild playing Jan Burres with excellent skill as an actress. Her portrayal as Gertrude Baniszewski in an American Crime got her an Emmy Nomination. Catherine has recently starred in Where The Wild Things Are as Connie and Rep. Pam Hendrickson in Nailed.

The Rolex Lady Datejust Pearlmaster is a superlative chronometer that also substitutes for a beautiful piece of jewelry. Only 29mm of dial space packs a punch with baguette diamonds setting the bezel around it. The watch has a Pearlmaster bracelet and is self wound in movement. Pearlmaster is waterproof upto a 100 metres and is crystallized in Sapphire. The watch is luxuriously elegant and yet its beauty doesn’t take its candor away, just like actress Catherine Keener, and the two redefine frankness beautifully.
